For persons in need of safe, affordable housing.
 

• Habitat houses require a down payment of $500.
   

• Prospective Homeowners, volunteers, and staff work in partnership to build each house.
   

• House payments range from $250-$400 per month, including escrow (taxes, insurance, termite bond), depending on the size size of the house and location. Habitat builds 2, 3, and 4 bedroom homes.
   

• Homeowners make their house payments monthly for 20-30 years.
   

• Homeowners are not charged any interest on their house payments.

2. A demonstrated need for adequate shelter
    
3. Willingness to partner with Habitat
    
4. Ability to pay for mortgage and escrow amounts
    
5. Ability to maintain good credit
    
6. Ability to provide required documentation at time
   of application
