          New Family Selected for 14th House
 

The Michael Davis Family has been selected to receive the next house to be built this year in Franklin. Michael and his wife Bonnie have six girls: Angel, Ashley, Brandy, Destiny, Melissa and Rebecca.

Re-Sale Store Anniversary Celebration
 
The Re-Sale Store celebrated it’s third anniversary Memorial Day weekend with a 50% Off Sale in conjunction with Franklin’s celebration of it’s 150th anniversary. The sale was complemented with hamburgers, hot dogs, soft drinks, watermelon, music and clowns. The sale generated $1800.
 
9th Annual Smoky Mountain Shrimp Boil
 
This year’s Shrimp Boil will be held on Saturday, August 13 at the Franklin First Presbyterian Church, 26 Church Street (one block North of Main St.) Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children eleven and under. Tickets are available at the Franklin Area Chamber of Commerce and the Habitat Re-Sale Store. The menu includes fresh all-you-can-eat boiled shrimp, kielbasa, Silver Queen corn on the cob, new potatoes, Texas toast, iced tea, lemonade, Key Lime pie and cakes. There will also be music and a shrimp eating contest.
